The statue features the likeness of a calico Japanese bobtail cat completely crafted out of LEGO building block pieces and positioned in the standing orientation. The cat statue features the instantly recognizable waving paw that's sure to beckon good fortune for business owners. The statue is accented by gold-colored pendant as a symbol of wealth and success. 2PPL spoke on the LEGO Ideas Maneki Neko saying, "Distinctive features of the Maneki Neko include the raised paw, which can be either right or left depending on local tradition or belief, and it often wears a decorative collar or necklace with a bell. The color of the Maneki Neko also has symbolic meanings: white is associated with purity and happiness, black wards off evil, gold symbolizes wealth and success, and red is linked to love and relationships.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 22% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Building Block Innovations:** Leveraging LEGO building blocks to create unique and traditional statues for diverse markets. - **Customized Statue Designs:** Introducing personalized and symbolic features on traditional statues to cater to individual preferences. - **Symbolic Home Decor:** Exploring the incorporation of symbolic meanings and cultural significance into home decor products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunities to integrate customizable building block designs into traditional toy manufacturing processes. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating cultural symbolism and personalized elements in home decor products for a unique and meaningful customer experience. - **Art and Design:** Blending traditional statues with innovative materials like LEGO blocks to create visually appealing and culturally rich art pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Black-and-White Puzzle Brick Cats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuxedo-cat.md) - [LNY-Inspired Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-lunar-new-year.md) - [Artwork-Inspired Building Block Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-hokusai-the-great-wave.md) - [Antique-Style Building Block Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-led-lamp.md) - [Rome Monument Block Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creator-expert-colosseum.md) - [Building Block Snow Globes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-lofi-girl-snowglobe.md) - [Iconic Artist Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-bob-ross.md) - [Japanese Castle-Themed Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himeji-castle.md) - [Reimagined Toy Block Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-lofi-girl.md)
