# Toy Block Buzzer-Beaters The LEGO Greatest NCAA March Madness Moments Video is for Hoops Heads By Michael Hines | Published 2011-03-21 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-greatest-march-madness-moments References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2011/03/greatest-march.php) & [tauntr](http://www.tauntr.com/) March Madness is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate one of the greatest sporting events around than by watching the [LEGO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-play-arena) greatest March Madness moments video? This video was created by Tauntr.com and shows four of the greatest (that claim is debatable) moments in March Madness history lovingly recreated in LEGO. The LEGO greatest March Madness moments cover iconic moments in recent college basketball history like Christian Laettner's jumper over [Kentucky](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheated-kentucky-straight-bourbon) and Gordon Hayward's half-court near-miss. The video is surprisingly well done considering LEGO figurines aren't the most flexible toys around. My only complaint is that the video doesn't show highlights from any older [NCAA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beverage-campaign) games. With the tournament well underway, hearts are bound to be broken and history is in the making. Take a timeout from all of the craziness (Chris Webber style) and check out the LEGO greatest March Madness moments video. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **LEGO March Madness Recreation:** Opportunity to create LEGO sets that recreate iconic moments in March Madness history. - **Sports Entertainment Videos:** Opportunity to produce entertaining videos that showcase sports moments using creative mediums. - **Nostalgic Toy Gaming:** Opportunity to incorporate nostalgic toys like LEGO into interactive gaming experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunity for toy manufacturers to collaborate with sports organizations to create LEGO sets or other toys inspired by sports moments. - **Sports Media:** Opportunity for sports media companies to create engaging and unique content by reimagining sports moments with LEGO or other toys. - **Gaming and Entertainment:** Opportunity for gaming and entertainment companies to develop interactive experiences or video games that combine sports and nostalgic toys. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Thematic Basketball Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-play-arena.md) - [Candy Bar Basketball Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reeses-ultimate-basketball-team.md) - [Basketball Player Minifigures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clicked-in.md) - [Reimagined Holiday Spots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nba-jingle-hoops.md) - [Sports Fan Advent Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/countdown-to-chill-calendar.md) - [Video Game-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscreen-mist.md) - [Basketball Cocktail Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-blue-buzzballz.md) - [Horror Film-Inspired Brick Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ideas-jaws-set.md) - [Pizza Brand Mini Basketballs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-basketballs.md)
