With over 2,000 pieces, the [building block set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fandomhonoring-building-block-sets) helps fans recreate favorite moments from the [hit series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/friends-meal) that involve Thanksgiving turkeys, and Phoebe’s dollhouse, as well as the chick and duck. The kit also includes set lights, so that fans can appreciate the angles of the apartments just as in the TV show. [LEGO set designer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-arcade-machine-set) Anderson Ward Grubb says that the team recreated the set based on production photos and rewatching the episodes to get the elements just right. The set will be launching first for LEGO VIP members this month before it heads to the public online and in stores. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nostalgia-driven Products:** Opportunity for companies to capitalize on consumers' nostalgia for past TV shows and movies by creating related products, such as this LEGO Friends Apartments set based on the 90s sitcom. - **Recreating Real-life Environments with Toys:** Opportunity for toy companies to leverage advanced design technology to create realistic and detailed playsets, such as the LEGO Friends Apartments set which includes over 2,000 pieces and set lights. - **Retro-marketing Strategies:** Opportunity for marketing teams to use nostalgia as a selling point when promoting products, as seen with the LEGO Friends Apartments set which appeals to fans of the 90s sitcom. ### Who This Affects Most - **Toy Manufacturing:** The toy manufacturing industry can use advanced design technology to create realistic and detailed playsets like the LEGO Friends Apartments set. - **Entertainment Merchandising:** The entertainment merchandising industry can create products that appeal to fans of past TV shows and movies, like the LEGO Friends Apartments set based on the 90s sitcom. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Marketing and advertising companies can use nostalgia as a selling point when promoting products, as seen with the LEGO Friends Apartments set based on the 90s sitcom. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Sitcom-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-full-house.md) - [Sitcom Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-the-office.md) - [Sitcom-Inspired Toy Brick Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/how-i-met-your-mother-1.md) - [Sitcom-Inspired Adorable Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/national-monica-day.md) - [Show-Inspired Block Puzzle Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/golden-girls-lego-kit.md) - [Spooky Show-Themed LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netflix-series-wednesday.md) - [Sci-Fi Series Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-x-stranger-things.md) - [Sitcom-Inspired Meal Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/friends-box.md) - [Television Family-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bobs-burgers-set.md)
