With a monochromatic white on the outside and engagingly multi-colored on the inside, the custom furniture piece is created with 10,480 individual pieces. Without employing adhesives and other tools, the LEGO coffee table is yet another example of how versatile the Danish building blocks really are and how the product does not subscribe to categorical boundaries. That is, it transcends its initial value as a toy. The LEGO coffee table was created by Yusong Zhang who was interested in harnessing the timeless aesthetic of the blocks while creating something that is practical and can be used in day-to-day narratives. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Architecturally-informed Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture pieces that combine architectural design principles with functional and practical elements. - **Multi-colored Interior Design:** Opportunity to incorporate vibrant and engaging colors in interior design to create visually stunning spaces. - **Versatile Use of LEGO Blocks:** Opportunity to explore and showcase the versatility of LEGO blocks beyond their traditional use as toys. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to experiment with architectural influences and create unique and visually appealing pieces. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate vibrant colors and playful elements into their designs to create visually striking and engaging spaces. - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunity for toy manufacturers to explore new ways to showcase the versatility of LEGO blocks and create products that cater to different age groups and purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ryb-coffee-table.md) - [Puzzle Espresso Tributes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moka-pot.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md) - [Building Block-Inspired Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-luggage.md) - [Brick Coffee Maker Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-nespresso.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloc-collection.md) - [Puzzling Removable Tray Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-puzzle-table.md) - [Block Puzzle Modular Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dollhouse-concept.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md)
