As of now, its [LED garden technology system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/led-lighting-systems) is so advanced, it is able to compact a quarter acre worth of crops into a space equivalent to a standard hotel room. If this isn't impressive enough, Keystone Technologies boasts that while saving power and space, it is able to produce 1,500 small heads of lettuce in a single month from this growing method. Although it may seem like a totally bizarre concept to grow plants entirely indoors without any natural light, in the case of lettuce, it is said to be much crisper and less coarse when grown this way. As it stands, Keystone Technologies is focusing on these developments for large-scale applications, but it also sells some [lightbulbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-ambient-grow-light) so that the average homeowner can start their own LED garden. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 84% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Indoor Agriculture Trend:** Growing food indoors is becoming a popular trend offering energy, space, and water efficiency.
