The complex set features a [basic board](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-game-collection), but each piece comes to life with a pop of light when placed upon its surface. Each piece illuminates a specific color that corresponds to the team it's a part of; some are a bright white color, whereas others are a soft blue. Additionally, the set is also available with pieces that glow blue and red shades. The most exceptional feature of the LED chess set is the conduction-like function of each piece as it doesn't require individual batteries; simply install some in the base board or plug in the included AC adapter to keep each game nice and bright. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **LED Chess Sets:** Opportunity for innovators to create more interactive and visually stunning chess sets by incorporating LED technology. - **Conductive Chess Pieces:** Potential for disruptive innovation in creating chess pieces that can conduct power without the need for individual batteries. - **Glowing Chess Pieces:** Opportunity to develop chess sets with pieces that glow in different colors, enhancing the visual appeal and gameplay experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Toy and Game Industry:** Innovation in creating LED chess sets can drive growth and attract customers in the toy and game industry. - **Electronics Industry:** Opportunity for the electronics industry to develop conductive chess pieces that utilize new power transmission technologies. - **Art and Design Industry:** Artists and designers can explore the use of glowing chess pieces to create unique and visually striking chess sets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Chessboard Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gochess.md) - [Celestial Anti-Conflict Chess Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/another-kingdom-light-stage-chess-set.md) - [Magical Robotic Chess Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gochess-wizard.md) - [Ceramic Chess Seating Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-chess.md) - [Incredibly Elegant Chess Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-chess-set.md) - [Intelligent Portable Board Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eifplay.md) - [AI-Powered Chess Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chessnut-evo.md) - [Ambient Tabletop Gamer Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bowio-game-light.md) - [Inclusively Designed Chess Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dot-chess.md)
