# DIY Stop Motion Video Origami Movie By Urban Delice | Published 2008-03-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/learn-to-make-own-stop-motion-origami-movie References: [core77](http://www.core77.com/blog/videos/make_your_own_stop_motion_origami_movie_9309.asp) I'm an origami fan! Last year I saw a bar in Barcelona that had decorations made entirely of origami. I was so inspired, I'm already working on some design ideas based on [origami, the Japanese paper folding technique](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp). But the guys featured in the video above made a step by step tutorial on how to make a [stop motion movie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-chef-x-ikea) with your own [origami projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita). It is quite an interesting DIY video, but the fun part is that they attribute the music in the background to helping them work faster. Hmm, I kinda doubt that! :) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Origami Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a digital platform that connects origami artists with potential clients for custom origami creations. - **Stop Motion Videos:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a user-friendly mobile app that simplifies the stop motion video creation process, lowering entry barriers for aspiring filmmakers. - **DIY Creativity:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design an online marketplace that provides a wide range of DIY project kits and tutorials, catering to the growing demand for hands-on creative activities. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Arts and Crafts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce a subscription-based service that delivers curated arts and crafts kits to subscribers' doorsteps, making it easy for individuals to explore different creative hobbies. - **Digital Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop an interactive platform that allows users to collaborate on creating stop motion videos, sparking a new form of digital entertainment and storytelling. - **Education:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Implement a gamified e-learning platform that teaches origami techniques and inspires creativity in students of all ages. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Flip Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stl-sculptures.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Origami-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series.md) - [DIY Music Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/make-your-own-music.md) - [Folded Paper Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clara-von-zweibergk.md) - [Cardboard Airplane Builds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-airplane.md) - [Ominous Interior Sushi Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-restaurant.md) - [Interactive Bloclk Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dancing-hula-girl.md)
