# Hi-Tech Leaf-Like Lights The Rozo Outdoor Lamp System Takes a Contemporary Twist on Organic Design By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-05-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaflike-light References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/rozo-outdoor-garden-lighting-by-patrick-weingartner/) Outdoor furniture can take many shapes, but this leaf-like light shows off a way for manmade objects to honor true natural forms. Executed in a rather futuristic fashion, these elegant stems are made from mirrored metal with perfectly repetitive detailing. And their sleek and shiny looks go with their hi-tech functionality. Rozo Outdoor Garden Lighting can be controlled with a smartphone app––the system is equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities for a synced experience even outside. You can switch the leaf-like lights on wherever you are. For a Honey-I-Shrunk-the-Kids setup, cluster a bunch of these stem lampposts together. Hinged bases enable you to adjust their angles too. These unique products demonstrate the potential of designing cutting-edge apparatuses with inspiration from biology. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Mirrored Metal Design:** Opportunity to utilize mirrored metal in various products and designs for a sleek and shiny aesthetic. - **Smartphone-controlled Lighting:** Disruptive potential for incorporating Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities into outdoor lighting systems, allowing for convenient control through a smartphone app. - **Biomimicry-inspired Innovations:** Opportunity to explore how nature-inspired designs, such as leaf-like lights, can be incorporated into cutting-edge apparatuses in different industries. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Incorporate mirrored metal and biomimicry-inspired designs into furniture to create visually stunning and functional pieces. - **Lighting Industry:** Develop smartphone-controlled outdoor lighting systems that utilize mirrored metal and offer a seamless user experience through Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. - **Home Automation:** Explore opportunities to integrate biomimicry-inspired lighting systems into home automation technologies, enhancing convenience and aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mushroom-Inspired Outdoor Light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinno.md) - [Naturalistic Biophilic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bioo-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Outdoor Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lodes-1.md) - [Opulent Outdoor Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gubi-seine-portable-lamp.md) - [Interactive Blooming Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloomlight-s-lamp.md) - [Willow Tree-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/larose-guyon.md) - [Outdoor Lamp Post Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-lamp-post-light.md) - [Modular Outdoor Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lanova.md) - [Garden-Filled Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olev-silence-lamp-collection.md)
