The classic LC5 sofa by Le Corbusier is was designed by the architect way back in the 1930s for his own apartment in Paris. Italian luxury brand [Cassina](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cassinas-updated-soriana) updated the design in 1974 to include a chrome frame and now, the design is getting another update.

Collaborating with the Le Corbusier Foundation, Cassina's refreshing of the LC5 sofa includes scaling up the design and offering a range of new finishes, including seven new colors. The LC5 sofa now comes in two and three-seater options and design enthusiasts can expect to get the first looks at the new design in person at this year's [Salone del Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-sofa), held annually in Milan. Although it's been tweaked slightly, the form of the LC5 sofa remains unchanged, proving that good design absolutely never goes out of style.
