# Chalkboard Walls Laura Bohn Designs a More Creative and Less Forgetful Home By Annie Ho | Published 2010-06-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laura-bohn References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/dry-erase-diy-slate-black-paint-for-full-wall-chalk-boards/) & [lbda](http://www.lbda.com/index.html) I would love to have all my walls replaced by these chalkboard walls created by Laura Bohn. From the pictures above, you can tell that every single wall in this house is made out of chalkboards. But Laura Bohn doesn't stop there. She even added chalkboards to furniture as well. Now you can write your thoughts out loud or small reminder notes to yourself. You can even write your grocery shopping list on your bedroom wall so you won't forget! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Chalkboard Walls:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in home decor and design by integrating chalkboard walls into living spaces. - **Chalkboard Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in furniture manufacturing by incorporating chalkboards into functional pieces for customizable expression. - **Interactive Reminder Walls:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in personal organization tools by creating interactive reminder walls that allow users to write notes and reminders. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the home decor industry by exploring new ways to incorporate chalkboard walls and furniture. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture manufacturing industry by developing and producing chalkboard furniture for creative expression and practical use. - **Personal Organization:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the personal organization industry by designing interactive reminder walls that enhance productivity and help users stay organized. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Doodle-Emblazoned Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sam-cox.md) - [Customizable Kids Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface.md) - [Renter-Friendly Wallpaper Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/renter-friendly-wallpaper.md) - [Building Block Wall Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-organizer-and-messfree-planter.md) - [Magnetic Whiteboard Notebooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whiteboard-notebook.md) - [Modular Magnetic Wall Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-organizer-concept.md) - [Ultra-Chic Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-desks.md) - [Workstation Projection Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-wall.md) - [Bean-Shaped Vibrant Chalks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bean-chalk.md)
