# Electric Cat Images The 'Laser Puma' Combines the Cute and the Absurd in a Fantastic Creation By Christopher DeLuca | Published 2011-06-06 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-puma References: [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/66438711/laser-puma-print?ref=fp_treasury_10) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/people/medusawolf?ref=ls_profile) The only way to make a Puma even more vicious in real life would be to turn it into a Laser Puma. The print, which is available on the [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/create-a-wedding-registry) website for a pittance (only $15) combines the technologically element of [lasers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumitwin-dl700) and the cute element of [Puma's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leather-speedcat) to strike a very original combination. What I personally like about the Laser Puma is that the laser coming out of his (or her) eyes looks like party decorations from some epic all-nighter. The Laser Puma almost seems to have a mini-Puma smile on his face (potentially at the fact that he's launching laser's onto the world). If you want to add a unique twist to your personal space, the Laser Puma will certainly help you get there. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Laser Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new applications of laser technology in consumer products. - **Cute and Quirky Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine cuteness and absurdity in product design to create unique and attention-grabbing creations. - **Personalization and Unique Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the demand for personalized and unconventional home decor items like the Laser Puma print. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate laser technology in new consumer electronic products for enhanced functionality. - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create cute and quirky designs that capture the attention and imagination of consumers. - **Home Decor and Furnishings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop unique and personalized home decor items to cater to consumers' desire for individuality and self-expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tiny Animated Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laserabc-laser-show-projector.md) - [Sculptural Feline Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/javier-calleja-2.md) - [Holographic Pet Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-pet-accessories.md) - [Desktop Dual-Laser Engravers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duallaser-engraver.md) - [Cat-Themed Soda Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pepsi-cat-cans.md) - [Playful Cat Illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-meow.md) - [Adorable Cartoon Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight-and-adorable.md) - [Black-and-White Puzzle Brick Cats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuxedo-cat.md) - [Cat-Inspired Fuzzy Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dry-studio-petbrick-65.md)
