# Superhero Laser Gloves This Iron Man Laser Glove Shoots Lasers and Sounds Authentic By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2015-04-22 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-glove References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/iron-man-laser-glove/37107/) & [laser-gadgets](http://www.laser-gadgets.com/ironman_gauntlet.php) German laser weapon and gadget enthusiast and hobbyist Patrick Priebe has built several incredibly cool comic book-inspired laser gadgets before, but he may just have outdone himself with this Iron Man laser glove. The glove is complete with sound effects and a 'shell' ejector. To use the laser glove, the user begins by flipping the device's main switch. This causes a ring of five LEDs around the palm laser to illuminate. Pressing one of the three buttons on a separate wired controller raises the hatch atop the glove. Then pressing another button causes an 800-mW red burning laser to be released. The user can also activate the glove's 3,000-mW palm-mounted laser by flexing their wrist to push in on the pressure plate. Watching Iron Man, it's difficult to not wish that it were possible to actually wear a gauntlet that fires lasers. With his vision and creativity, Patrick Priebe has made the impossible possible. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Comic Book-inspired Laser Gadgets:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a line of laser gadgets inspired by popular comic book characters. - **Wearable Laser Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create wearable devices equipped with laser technology for various applications - **Laser Weapon Enthusiast Community:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Build an online platform or community for laser weapon enthusiasts to share designs and ideas. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate laser technology into consumer electronic devices for enhanced functionality. - **Entertainment and Media:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with entertainment companies to develop laser gadgets for promotional purposes. - **DIY Hobbyist Market:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create DIY laser gadget kits for hobbyists and enthusiasts to assemble and customize. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Superhero-Themed Wireless Earbud Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iron-man-helmet.md) - [LED-Powered Laser Swords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-series-obiwan-kenobi-force-fx-elite-lightsaber.md) - [Tiny Animated Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laserabc-laser-show-projector.md) - [Cold Laser Skincare Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antiagingskincare.md) - [Motion-Activated Sci-Fi Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-2.md) - [Ultra-Accurate Motion Capture Gloves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manus-xsens-metagloves.md) - [Long-Range Laser Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumitwin-dl700.md) - [Digital Laser-Powered Blaster Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-tag-set.md) - [Sinister Comic Series Masks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-goblin-helmet.md)
