This [gated community residence](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lagoon-view-residence) was designed by the Brazilian architectural firm Fernanda Marques Architects, and is a testament to their expertise. Complete with a steel structure, [weathered wooden exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-guaec-project) and countless windows with [lush views of the Atlantic Forest](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-house-1), the Laranjeiras Residence would make for a great summer home or year-round indulgence. The views surrounding the Laranjeiras Residence are enough to sell me on the place, and the stunning architectural features are an added delight! **Implications** - Consumers continue to yearn to develop connections with nature, and as the recession begins to turn around these individuals find themselves with more income to spare. Companies who create recreational products that can be used in conjunction with holidays, or as a way to simulate a vacation environment while in the city, will continue to gain immense popularity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nature-inspired Architecture:** Architectural firms can explore designing structures that blend seamlessly with natural surroundings, catering to the growing demand for eco-friendly and nature-focused living spaces. - **Luxury Gated Communities:** Real estate developers have an opportunity to create exclusive gated communities with luxurious amenities and breathtaking views, targeting affluent buyers seeking privacy and sophistication. - **Urban Vacation Experiences:** Brands can innovate and offer urban vacation experiences by creating products and services that recreate the ambiance and relaxation of a vacation within city settings, catering to the needs of busy urban professionals. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Architectural firms have the potential to disrupt the housing industry by focusing on incorporating nature-inspired design principles into their projects, appealing to environmentally-conscious homeowners. - **Real Estate:** Developers can revolutionize the real estate market by developing luxury gated communities that offer unparalleled amenities, privacy, and astonishing views, captivating high-end homebuyers. - **City Tourism:** Tourism companies and hospitality brands have an opportunity to innovate by creating urban vacation experiences that allow busy city-dwellers to escape the daily grind and enjoy the relaxation of a vacation within their own surroundings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wooden Screen Stacked Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-vjc-iporanga.md) - [Sleek Contemporary Brazilian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laguna-house.md) - [Nature-Inspired Minimal Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/simara-melo.md) - [Harmonious Modern Beach Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-d31.md) - [Tranquil Brazilian Beach Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-mk27-2.md) - [Forest Edge House Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-guapuruvu.md) - [Terraced Garden-Surrounded Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lechuza-house.md) - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Coastal Lookout Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-tejo.md)
