# Energized Laptop Cases The 'Laptop Adapter' Carries and Recharges Your Computer By Michael Hines | Published 2010-09-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laptop-adapter References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/turn-your-laptop-case-as-a-laptop-adapter-instantly/) The 'Laptop Adapter' may have a vanilla title, but it packs a rainbow sherbet punch. This case is actually a gussied-up [power adapter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/world-travel-adapters) in disguise, letting you inconspicuously carry around your [laptop and charger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-amber-case). The Laptop Adapter was designed by Jung Uk Park and Kyuwon Kim. This case is great because it eliminates the need to lug around power cables. I don't know about you, but I hate having to pack my power cables when I go on trips. The 'Laptop Adapter' would be a life- and space-saver. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Power Adapter Cases:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating stylish and functional cases that integrate power adapters, eliminating the need to carry separate cables. - **Portable Charging Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing compact and convenient charging options for laptops that can be easily carried and used on the go. - **Wireless Charging Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Advancing wireless charging capabilities for laptops to eliminate the need for any physical connection to power sources. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating innovative products and accessories that enhance the functionality and convenience of consumer electronics. - **Travel and Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing travel-friendly solutions that streamline the packing process and improve the portability of electronic devices. - **Energy and Power Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Advancing power adapter technology to make charging devices more efficient, portable, and sustainable. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Laptop-Stowing Portable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapcase.md) - [Multifunctional Slim Laptop Sleeves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nexa.md) - [Tough Tech-Charging Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carl-friedrik-the-carryon-pro.md) - [Five-in-One Laptop Carrier Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-laptop-sleeve.md) - [Book-Inspired Tech Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-bookbook-caddysack.md) - [Portable Laptop Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-1.md) - [Fast-Charging Power Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-65w-power-adapter.md) - [Vibrant Lanyard Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lanyard-charging.md) - [Space-Saving Technology Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-65w-slim-power-adapter.md)
