This accurate replica of the legendary [hovering Star Wars vehicle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hover-dog-bed) features all the trappings and details, including neon lights and an appropriately themed duvet. This Landspeeder bed took the man only about ten hours to build over a period of two weeks, and involved no more than $150 of materials. Most of the materials used were left over from his previous jobs as a builder and designer. [Star Wars culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2) has inspired a lot of creations in the past, but what's great about this Landspeeder bed is how inexpensive it was and how little time it took to create. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sci-fi Bedroom Furniture:** With more people wishing to include fantasy elements in their homes, there is an opportunity for the development of sci-fi bedroom furniture. - **Affordable Customization:** Creating customized furniture, such as this Landspeeder bed, at an affordable cost provides a disruptive opportunity in the home furniture industry. - **Retro Nostalgia Design:** Incorporating iconic retro designs, such as this Star Wars Landspeeder replica, could bring a new wave of nostalgia-driven products. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Home décor industry could benefit from offering customized, affordable furniture with unique designs. - **3D Printing:** 3D printing technology could be harnessed to create customized and affordable furniture. - **Movie & TV Merchandise:** This Landspeeder bed is just one example of the potential for licensed movie and TV merchandise in the home furniture industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci Fi-Inspired Desk Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Sci-Fi Scene-Inspired Lego Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-sceneinspired-lego-set.md) - [Drone-Themed Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-themed-bed.md) - [Sci-Fi Electric Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-van.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-2.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cruiser Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venator-attack.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Chair Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secretlab-star-wars.md)
