This award-winning project transforms the outdoor spaces surrounding a [historic 15th-century farmhouse-turned-hotel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wraxall-yard) through an approach that prioritizes harmony with the site's geological and agricultural heritage. Using locally sourced materials — from the distinctive conglomerate rock of Montserrat to the traditional ceramic bricks — the design creates pathways, terraces, and gathering spaces that appear as natural extensions of the landscape rather than imposed additions. The landscape intervention's thoughtful consideration of light, topography, and regional building traditions results in outdoor areas that foster quiet contemplation while maintaining functional hospitality spaces. scob also included sustainably-oriented water management, a carefully curated selection of [native plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redesigned-rooftop-garden), and lighting designed to minimize ecological disruption in the protected natural park.
