The lamp has a low-level design that is free from sharp corners in favor of a rounded aesthetic that is friendly and approachable when placed on a workstation. The unit will provide passive illumination in a space, while also providing a place to hide a smartphone to charge it up wirelessly and keep it out of a user's field of vision for less distraction. The conceptual 'Lance' lamp has been designed in a number of charming color options and is also well-suited as a [bedside illuminator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-lamp). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Multifunctional Decor Products:** Designing decor products that serve multiple purposes, such as providing illumination and wireless charging, can offer convenience and functionality for consumers. - **Friendly and Approachable Design:** Creating products with rounded aesthetics and low-level designs can enhance user experience by making them more welcoming and less intimidating. - **Wireless Charging Solutions:** Developing wireless charging options for everyday objects, like lamps, can eliminate clutter and provide convenient power sources for consumers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore innovative designs that combine functionality and style to cater to consumers' needs. - **Technology:** The technology industry can develop wireless charging solutions for various products to enhance user convenience and eliminate the need for cords. - **Office Supplies:** The office supplies industry can benefit from designing products with friendly and approachable aesthetics that create a more pleasant working environment for professionals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Relaxing Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stem-wireless-charger-lamp.md) - [Artistic Tech-Charging Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/combi-table-lamp.md) - [Multipurpose Entryway Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charger-lamp.md) - [Ambient Illumination Tech Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-wireless-charger.md) - [Illuminated Charger Design Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/current-concept.md) - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Study Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/check-mate-2.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Multifunctional C-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp.md)
