# Multi-Functional Flower Cushions The Lana Agiyan 'Blossom' Carpet is a Beautiful Accent Piece By Sarah Nazim | Published 2012-06-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lana-agiyan References: [lana-agiyan](http://lana-agiyan.com/) & [tumblr](http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/lana-agiyan) The Lana Agiyan 'Blossom' piece is a multi-functional cushion that can be used for either a children's room or as a great piece within the home. This beautifully designed piece was made to resemble a flower and can be used as a carpet, a bean bag, play mat, swing, chair or even a storage piece. The outer case is made to look like a bush, and it can either be left as is or folded down to create a flower-shaped carpet. On the inside is a huge, burgundy-colored cushion that resembles a flower in bloom. The nice thing about this design by Lana Agiyan is that it's versatile, and would make for a great accent to any room. Instead of adding clutter, it adds life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-functional Furniture:** The trend of multi-functional furniture is disrupting traditional home decor by offering versatile and space-saving solutions. - **Child-centric Design:** The rise of child-centric design in furniture is creating innovative products that appeal to both children and adults, providing functional and playful options. - **Transformable Home Accessories:** The demand for transformable home accessories is driving the development of products that offer multiple functionalities and can adapt to different needs. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture and Home Decor:** The furniture and home decor industry can explore opportunities for creating multi-functional pieces that cater to various needs and spaces. - **Children's Products:** The children's products industry has the potential to innovate by designing furniture and accessories that combine playfulness and functionality. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can tap into the trend of transformable home accessories by incorporating versatile and space-saving elements into their designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cozy Flower-Like Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beba-armchair.md) - [Flower-Inspired Vibrant Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espressionismo-floreale.md) - [Sculptural Seating Carpets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rondin.md) - [Floral-Inspired Home Rug Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magical-garden.md) - [Oversized Hollow Pillow Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floof-snuggle-sack-and-floor-pillow.md) - [Interchangeable Cushion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morfius-modular-furniture.md) - [Comforting Adaptable Sofa Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bird-reincarnation-3way-sofa-bed.md) - [Transforming Imaginative Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiddie-couch.md) - [Opulent Floral Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-hackney.md)
