# Campfire-Inspired Fixtures The Lampfire Takes Inspiration from a Warm Symbol of Wilderness Living By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-12-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampfire References: [core77](http://www.core77.com/blog/flotspotting/welcome_to_the_great_indoors_gather_round_the_lampfire_26022.asp) & [coroflot](http://www.coroflot.com/hoangmnguyen/LampFire) There's something comforting and even magical about sitting around a campfire, and it's these sentiments that Hoang M. Nguyen has worked to incorporate into the cleverly named Lampfire. A light fixture rarely conjures an emotional reaction from occupants of a room, yet this one can certainly succeed to incite sensations of warmth and security. The [minimalist teepee form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-soul) comprises three uniting [wooden dowels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-timber-lamp) that imitates the common setup of an cozy outdoorsy fire. A fabric-wrapped cord dangles down between them, suspending a [modern lightbulb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magma-lamp) to provide illumination. While more modern globes like the Plumen 001 are sufficiently efficient to emit less heat, the presence of a radiating source remains symbolic. The charming Lampfire design fosters an atmosphere of intimacy and encourages friendly gathering indoors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Lighting:** Exploring the use of simple and clean designs in lighting fixtures to create a modern and sleek aesthetic. - **Emotional Lighting:** Incorporating lighting elements that evoke emotional responses, such as warmth and security, in interior design. - **Nature-inspired Lighting:** Drawing inspiration from natural elements, like fire, in the design of lighting fixtures to bring a sense of the outdoors indoors. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Utilizing minimalist lighting fixtures to create a contemporary and visually appealing environment for clients. - **Home Decor:** Developing lighting options that can evoke emotional responses and enhance the atmosphere in residential spaces. - **Hospitality:** Incorporating nature-inspired lighting designs in hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality spaces to create a warm and inviting ambiance for guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rechargeable Portable Torch Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piton-portable-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Minimal Modern Oil Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-capsule-oil-lamp.md) - [Collapsible Campsite Torches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripod-torch.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Outdoor Lantern Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lantern-1.md) - [Fireplace-Inspired Campsite Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leacco-camping-lantern.md) - [Pine Wood-Inspired Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jakobsson.md) - [Incense-Mimicking Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incense-lamp.md)
