# Traditional Eco-Bulbs The Lampada Bedside Lamp by Tomas Filippo By Meghan Young | Published 2010-03-24 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampada-bedside-lamp References: [thedesignblog.org](http://www.thedesignblog.org/entry/lampad-bedside-lamp-is-environmentally-playful/) & [tomasfilippobordignondesign.blogspot](http://tomasfilippobordignondesign.blogspot.com/) Let's face it, [LED lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flourish-table-lamp) are infinitely better than traditional light bulbs for many reasons, but missing is an aesthetic appeal that only traditional bulbs hold. The Lampada Bedside Lamp may solve that shortcoming. Designed by Tomas Filippo, the Lampada Bedside Lamp combines the charm of a [filament light bulb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa) with the energy efficiency of an LED light. What I particularly like about the overall design is the fact that the bulb is the lamp itself and not encased in some fancy-shmancy shade. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Hybrid Lighting:** New designs incorporating the aesthetics of traditional light bulbs with the energy efficiency of LED lights. - **Sustainable Design:** Creating products that are eco-friendly while also appealing to consumer aesthetics. - **Minimalist Lighting:** Designing lighting fixtures that emphasize simplicity and functionality over decorative features. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting:** Opportunities in the lighting industry for developing innovative, sustainable lighting products that blend form and function. - **Home Decor:** Opportunities in the home decor industry for incorporating eco-friendly lighting products that enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space. - **Furniture Design:** Opportunities in the furniture design industry for developing minimalist lighting designs that complement overall furniture aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Modernized Antique-Style Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odina-table-lamp.md) - [Health-Focused Bedside Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-hue-twilight.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Ecological Dual Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-light.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Perforated LED Table Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lume.md) - [Warm LED Artful Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellboy-table-lamp.md)
