# Multi-Angle Illumniators Lamp E from Kako.KO Provides Light from All Angles By Michael Hines | Published 2011-05-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamp-e References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/05/10/play-with-me-lamp/) & [kako-ko](http://www.kako-ko.com/) How many lamps do you know that can be laid on their side and still provide a valuable source of light? The answer to that question is probably zero, but you can now make it one, thanks to Lamp E. Lamp E is a new lamp from design studio Kako.KO. The lamp uses [LED lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilo-lamp) and a Tetris-esque design to provide light from all angles. Stand it up straight, tip it over or even throw it mercilessly through the air without any regard for which way it will land. This design is great because it makes the [traditional desk lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engrid-desk-lamp) more efficient by providing [modular light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aplat) that can illuminate all areas, not just the ones below a lampshade. Conventional desk lamp, your time is nigh. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Lighting:** Lamp E's Tetris-inspired design creates a modular lighting system that could disrupt the lighting industry. - **Flexible Desk Lamps:** Lamp E's ability to provide light from all angles opens up opportunities for flexible desk lamps in the office furniture industry. - **Multi-angle Illuminators:** The concept of multi-angle illuminators could become a growing trend and disruptive innovation for the lighting industry. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting:** Kako.KO's Lamp E could disrupt the lighting industry with its unique and flexible design. - **Office Furniture:** The ability to provide light from all angles presents an opportunity to create innovative and flexible desk lamps in the office furniture industry. - **Interior Design:** Multi-angle illuminators could offer a new style of lighting for interior designers to incorporate in their designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Natural Light Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adjustable-led-desk-lamp.md) - [Flexible Workstation Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archflex-desk-lamp.md) - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md) - [Multifunctional C-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp.md) - [3-in-1 Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biancinoti.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Conical Multifunctional Lamp Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-light.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md)
