# Cushion-Creating Chairs The Lambert Kamps Waffle Chair Produces Its Own Waffle Pillows By Allison Love | Published 2010-05-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lambert-kamps-waffle-chair References: [designspotter](http://designspotter.com/product/2010/05/Wafle-Chair.html) & [lambertkamps](http://www.lambertkamps.com/) The Lambert Kamps ‘Waffle Chair’ is pretty unique, considering it's probably the only chair with the ability to produce its own pillows. The waffle chair is made out of former waffle irons, but can still actually make waffles. Ouch? The Lambert Kamps ‘waffle chair’ is made out of iron, and while it can make its own waffles as pillows (interesting to say the least), there are also waffle-shaped foam pillows to place atop the chair seat. Either way, the comfort in this design will take the form and shape of a waffle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Self-producing Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in furniture design by creating pieces that can produce their own components. - **Functional Form-fitting Pillows:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the pillow industry by developing pillows shaped to fit specific furniture designs. - **Dual-purpose Household Items:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in home goods by designing products that serve multiple functions, such as a chair that can also make waffles. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry by incorporating self-production capabilities into furniture designs. - **Home Goods:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home goods industry by creating innovative products that offer dual purposes or functionalities. - **Pillow Manufacturing:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the pillow manufacturing industry by developing form-fitting pillows for specific furniture designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wavy Lounge Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-lounge-chair.md) - [Pretzel-Like Comfortable Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dohui.md) - [Moon-Inspired Modular Seating Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wigiwama.md) - [Air-Filled Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knit-one-chair.md) - [Comfort-Focused Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accent-chair.md) - [Adventurous Versatile Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster-seat.md) - [Uniquely Structured Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yay-chair.md) - [Hollow Customizable Waffle Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chefman-big-stuff.md) - [Curvaceous Padded Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-chair.md)
