# La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour: Trend Hunter Fun Day By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2010-01-21 | About Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-jolla-sea-caves-kayak-tour-trend-hunter-fun-day References: [trendhunter](http://www.trendhunter.com/internships) For Trend Hunter’s first team of interns in San Diego, we made the most of the stellar weather down south with a kayak tour of the La Jolla sea caves. We suited up in helmets and [life jackets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/responsible-rider) to brave the waves together. The two-hour tour included up-close-and-personal encounters with sea lions, sea turtles and several lobsters. This [protected marine habitat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hong-kong-tourism-board) was no match for our disposable waterproof camera, but [riding the surf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swell-diary) back to the shore was well worth it. Life is good when you’re a Trend Hunter. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [About](https://www.trendhunter.com/about) > [Fun](https://www.trendhunter.com/fun) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Outdoor Adventure Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative technology solutions for capturing and preserving underwater experiences during outdoor adventure tours. - **Eco-tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create sustainable and eco-friendly kayak tours to protect and preserve marine habitats while providing enjoyable experiences for tourists. - **Experience-based Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design immersive and interactive kayak tours that offer unique and memorable experiences, such as up-close encounters with marine wildlife. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Revolutionize the tourism industry by incorporating technology, sustainability, and immersive experiences into kayak tours and other outdoor adventures. - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced waterproof cameras or other photography equipment specifically designed for capturing high-quality images and videos in underwater environments. - **Outdoor Gear and Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative and durable gears and equipment for outdoor activities like kayaking, ensuring safety, comfort, and enhanced user experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Idyllic Island Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/island-tour.md) - [Stunning Sea Travel Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lady-kailani.md) - [Unique City-Based Culinary Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tasty-tours.md) - [Interactive Jellyfish Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jewels-of-the-sea.md) - [Enchanting Beachside Stays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-san-cristobal.md) - [Authentic Amazonian Jungle Tours](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jungle-tour.md) - [Collaborative Arctic Adventure Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arctic-adventure.md) - [Real-Time Beach Review Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realtime-beach-review.md) - [Branded Travel Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-south-dakota.md)
