# Tree-Entwined Pool Pavilions La Grange Pavilion Navigates Gnarled Trees By Joey Haar | Published 2017-08-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-grange-pavilion References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2017/08/23/la-grange-pavilion-pool-house-murray-legge-architecture-texas/) La Grange Pavilion, a pool house in East Texas, incorporates the natural landscape in an interesting way. The site of the pool house is densely populated by gnarled, fully grown oak trees, so rather than clearing out these historic living monuments, La Grange Pavilion is built around them. One of the oak trees grows up through the center of the pavilion, appearing to rise out of the concrete flooring and poke through hole in the roof. The pool itself is built up to the edge of a hilly precipice. It's an [infinity pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/malvern-pool-house) with a hidden barrier facing out over the oaken valley — a [tranquil respite](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-round-pavilion) in the Texas woods.
