Situated on a [sloped, wooded property](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-17jb) in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, the structure is designed to follow the [natural gradient of the land](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-andes), with its layout organized across multiple levels. The synergetic balance between the indoor and outdoor environments is a key component of Luc Plante architecture + design's approach for this project. The exterior form of La Croix employs symmetrical and geometric shapes to frame views and capture natural light. The interior features an open-plan common area centered around a [double-sided fireplace](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-maraude), with extensive glazing to connect the living spaces visually with the surrounding landscape. The design approach prioritized a harmonious integration with the site's topography and environment.
