# Elevated Mountain Retreats La Cadree Perchée Offers a Quiet Forest Refuge Suspended in Nature By Amy Duong | Published 2025-10-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-cadree-perche References: [lempreinte](https://lempreinte.ca/la-cadree-perchee) La Cadree Perchée rises gently among the [mountain pines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whistler-hideaway), its structure elevated to preserve the forest floor and invite light and wind beneath. The retreat blends seamlessly with its natural setting through the use of glass, [timber, and dark metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timbertop-house) that mirror the tones and textures of bark, stone, and soil. Large windows frame panoramic views while maintaining a sense of calm enclosure, allowing the home to feel both open and sheltered. Architectural restraint defines every decision. Walkways and terraces curve naturally through the landscape, minimizing environmental disruption and guiding residents along subtle changes in elevation. The project demonstrates how architecture can coexist with nature through balance and sensitivity, creating a living space that feels integrated rather than imposed. La Cadree Perchée becomes a meditation on coexistence, light, and the quiet power of landscape.
