Edge of Belgravia's Kuroi Hana Japanese knife collection is beautifully attractive, with a hypnotic floral pattern embedded directly into the steel of the blades, but the design might not even be their most appealing aspect. That's because the blades are impressively sharp and precise, garnering endorsement from Ollie Dabbous, the [Michelin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-mediterranean-restaurant)-starred chef behind Henrietta in Covent Garden and one of Britain's hottest young culinary talents.

The Kuroi Hana knives are made from [high quality Japanese steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handcrafted-japanese-knives). They have a hardness range of 58-60 HRC, making them durable and ensuring that they'll stay sharper for longer. There are six knives in the set: slicing, bread, utility, paring, and two sizes of chef's knives.

The floral pattern on the Kuroi Hana knives is a product of their production makeup. Each blade has [67 layers of steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vg10-stainless-damascus), and the tapering of these layers causes the odd, attractive pattern.
