The fiber-optic Kurage Lamp designed by Sschemata Architects (Japan) is not. The cool lighting fixtures offer a futuristic element to any room. The size of the cords varies from model to model based on the amount of illumination going into each piece (thicker=more, thinner=less). Also, the size of the curve in the cord contributes to the brightness and strength of the light. The Kurage Lamp provides any room with a soft, cool and ambient lighting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Fiber Optics in Lighting:** The Kurage Lamp showcases the potential of using fiber optics for innovative lighting solutions. - **Adjustable Illumination:** The varying size and curvature of the cords in the Kurage Lamp allows for customizable levels of brightness and strength of light. - **Futuristic Lighting Fixtures:** The Kurage Lamp adds a futuristic element to interior design with its unique fiber-optic design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The Kurage Lamp presents an opportunity for interior designers to incorporate futuristic lighting fixtures into their projects. - **Lighting Technology:** The use of fiber optics in the Kurage Lamp creates opportunities for advancements in lighting technology and design. - **Home Decor:** The Kurage Lamp offers a new and unique lighting option for homeowners looking to enhance their interior decor with avant-garde fixtures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Suspended Origami-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-light.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Glowing Tubular Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/array-lighting.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Origami-Inspired Suspended Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-pendant-light.md) - [3D-Printed Aquatic Life Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooj-design-wavy-lamp.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Evening Sky-Inspired Lighting Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky.md) - [Stealthy Pendant Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warp-lamp.md)
