# Invisible Geometric Basins The Transparent Glass Kub Sink is Discernible Only at its Edges By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-11-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kub-sink References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/wireframe-wash-basin-minimalist-effect-forms-invisible-sink/) & [victorvasilev](http://www.victorvasilev.com/) It is fascinating that one of the most important elements of a bathroom set might be visibly missable to the naked eye. The Kub Sink is quite generous in its proportions; however, the greatest hint that you will see observe about its presence is the edges where the clear glass panes come together. This apparently wireframe washbasin takes the form of a rectangular prism without a top, consisting of five flat sides that join at right angles. This section is attached to a marble cube that connects the sink to the wall, and the drain is nearly unrecognizable as the seam between the two masses. A minimalist metal faucet protrudes independently from the tile, completing Victor Vasilev's incredibly cool, contemporary and illusory Kub Sink. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Invisible Geometric Basins:** The trend of incorporating transparent, minimalist basins that blend into the surrounding space, creating an illusion of invisibility. - **Wireframe Washbasin Design:** The trend of using wireframe geometric designs in washbasin structures, creating a modern and minimalist aesthetic. - **Illusory Bathroom Fixtures:** The trend of incorporating illusory elements in bathroom fixtures, such as sinks with seamless edges, to create a cool and contemporary look. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Disruptive innovation opportunities lie in creating transparent, minimalist basins and wireframe washbasin designs that stand out in the market. - **Interior Design:** The invisible geometric basin trend offers opportunities for interior designers to incorporate illusionary elements into bathroom spaces. - **Architectural Design:** The use of wireframe washbasin designs provides architects with innovative ideas for creating modern and minimalist bathroom structures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Illuminated Base Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-albumelux.md) - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Artful Artisanal Marble Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md)
