# Minimalist Toy Toters The Koloro Wagon Makes it Easy to Get Kids to Clean Up After Play By Michael Hines | Published 2013-11-26 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koloro-wagon References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2013/11/23/koloro-wagon-stacking-wooden-storage-boxes-by-torafu-architects/) & [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/tag/torafu-architects/) Torafu Architects has created the Koloro [Wagon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-stroller-to-wagon-travel-system), a multilevel toy hauler meant to be used by both kids and parents alike. The Koloro Wagon is made up of three levels, each of which can be detached and carried around like a basket. The result is a toy chest that grows with your tot and that can be used long after they've outgrown their [dolls and toy cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doll-carrier). Each shelf of the Koloro Wagon is color coded, making it easy to organize toys and other items. Children are notorious for not wanting to pick up their toys, but Torafu Architects has effectively eliminated this problem by making the toy chest mobile. While the Koloro Wagon isn't tall enough to be used by adults when in its stacked form, it functions just fine as a gardening basket (or other type of basket) when separated. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Toy Storage:** The Koloro Wagon's detachable levels showcase the potential for modular toy storage solutions that can adapt to children's changing needs. - **Color-coded Organization:** The color-coding feature of the Koloro Wagon presents an opportunity for products that make organizing toys and items more visually intuitive. - **Flexible Product Functionality:** The Koloro Wagon's ability to transform into a gardening basket highlights the potential for flexible product designs that serve multiple purposes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Toy Manufacturing:** The Koloro Wagon's innovation in toy storage can inspire the development of more versatile and adaptable toy products. - **Home Organization:** The color-coded and modular features of the Koloro Wagon suggest opportunities for companies in the home organization industry to create innovative storage solutions. - **Product Design:** The Koloro Wagon's flexible functionality highlights the potential for disruptive innovation in product design, where items can serve multiple functions and adapt to various user needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Kids Modern Step Stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totto-step.md) - [Toy-Specific Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/step2.md) - [Harbor-Inspired Storage Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harbor-051.md) - [Imaginative Pared-Back Art Supplies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woset.md) - [Collapsible Storage Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clax-trolley.md) - [Modern Transformative Child Walkers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jumbo-walker.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md) - [Modular Chromatic Child Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidzilla-chair.md) - [Dedicated Student Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kids-furniture-design.md)
