This creative Kodachrome lamp shade by New York artist and designer Sabina Batelman uses old 35mm film slides in its construction. The repurposed photographic slides create a visual 'show' while working to dampen the glare from a [table lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joe-colombo).

Sabina Batelman attended the [University of Massachusetts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeidler-architecture) where she majored in communications and broadcasting. She also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York to study film and video.

**Implications** - I think it'd be amazing to witness this Kodachrome lamp in person. Just imagine seeing frames from iconic movies being projected onto your walls, simultaneously illuminating the room and offering a beautiful spectacle for your eyes' enjoyment.

I will probably try to create my own Kodachrome lamp at home and fill it with frames from children's movies.
