Over time, the device's assistant becomes more attuned to one's personal preferences and cooking habits. The hands-free smart kitchen device monitors heat settings and offers alerts when changes should be made to the settings. To install the device, one must remove an existing stove knob and replace it with the spindle adapter and the new Klove Knob. The IoT Klove Knob was named the winner of [Nestle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-carpet-recipe-collection) Next Big Thing 2017 contest for start-ups. This is of note because the smart Klove Knob could potentially be able to scan branded food packages and offer recipe or serving suggestions to at-home chefs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Stove Knobs:** The 'Klove Knob' introduces a smart assistant for the kitchen. - **Voice-assisted Recipes:** The 'Klove Knob' offers interactive conversations with Alexa/Google Home, opening up opportunities for hands-free cooking guidance. - **Personalized Cooking Experience:** The 'Klove Knob' becomes more attuned to one's personal preferences and cooking habits, enabling customized alerts and recommendations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Smart Home Appliances:** The 'Klove Knob' is part of the growing market for smart home technologies, disrupting traditional stove knobs and enhancing kitchen functionality. - **Internet of Things (iot):** The 'Klove Knob' exemplifies the integration of IoT technologies into everyday kitchen appliances, revolutionizing how we interact with our cooking devices. - **Food Packaging and Recipe Services:** The 'Klove Knob' opens up opportunities for partnerships with food brands and recipe services, allowing users to scan packages for recipe suggestions, disrupting traditional cookbook recipes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Cooking Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-idea-kody-29.md) - [Modern Intuitive Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hoto.md) - [AI-Enabled Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermomix-tm7.md) - [AI-Assisted Kitchen Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeg-kitchen-range.md) - [AI-Powered Recipe Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-cosmo.md) - [Thermal-AI Cooking Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cue-chef-cube-01.md) - [Camera-Equipped Induction Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slidein-induction-range.md) - [App-Paired Cooktop Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tramontina-guru.md) - [AI-Enhanced Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transitional-series-ovens.md)
