# Organically Curvaceous Dining Tables The 'KIUSO' Table is Based on a 400-Year-Old Concept By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2021-03-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiuso-table References: [homecrux](https://www.homecrux.com/karim-rashid-kiuso-folding-table/151117/) & [karimrashid](http://www.karimrashid.com/projects/) The 'KIUSO' table has been conceptually designed by Karim Rashid as a dining table for the modern home that makes use of an older concept for consumers of today to benefit from. The table is based on a 400-year-old concept of a fading furniture design and is capable of transitioning from a narrow sideboard to a half-sized dining table or even a full-size one for up to six people. This makes the furniture piece ideal for smaller homes where efficiency needs to be prioritized to make the most of every square inch. The 'KIUSO' table maintains an [organic yet modernistic design aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/altherr-dsile-park), which will make it right at home in living spaces where existing decor styles are varied or lean in one specific direction.
