Made from industrial-strength cardboard, the Kitty Dome is easily set up, dismantled and even recycled at whim. In addition to being sustainable, however, it also comes with a cat-friendly design that includes an almost fully enclosed interior as well as [a scratch pad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coral-scratcher). Whereas most cardboard cat shelters would normally fall victim to sharp claws, however, the fact that the [Kitty Pod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggy-diner) is made from hardier stock means it wont fall to pieces under a feline assault. When it comes to a low-cost, durable and environmentally sound cat bed, this crafty cardboard creation is something that really cannot be beat. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sustainable Cat Products:** Opportunity to develop eco-friendly and durable cat products, like the Kitty Dome made from industrial-strength cardboard. - **Cat-friendly Designs:** Innovative cat shelters with enclosed interiors and scratch pads to cater to feline behaviors. - **Recyclable Pet Accessories:** Demand for pet products that can be easily set up, dismantled, and recycled, such as the Kitty Dome. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Supplies:** Opportunity for pet supply companies to create more sustainable and cat-friendly products. - **Eco-friendly Packaging:** Opportunity for companies in the packaging industry to develop recyclable materials specifically for pet accessories. - **Innovative Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture companies to explore innovative designs for pet shelters and beds using eco-friendly materials like industrial-strength cardboard. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sustainable Portable Cat Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batsy-cat-shelter.md) - [Smart Cat Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pawswing-neo.md) - [Pyramidal Feline Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-cat-furniture.md) - [Contemporary Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Cat-Furniture-1.md) - [Stylish Stimulating Cat Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catit.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Playful Muffin-Inspired Cat Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pets-pods.md) - [Origami-Like Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felt-cat-bed.md) - [Modular Cat Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinity-diy-cat-tree.md)
