The packaging solution consists of corrugated cardboard that has been scored and folded at regular intervals in order to resemble a fan, and will accommodate automated box making machines for making bespoke solutions. The single-wall C flute corrugation style provides impressive resistance to crushing and compression, while also being great for the handing, storage and shipping of goods. Managing Director Gavin Ashe spoke on the Kite Packaging corrugated fan fold saying, "Fan fold is a fantastic product that can be used by a variety of our customers. It was traditionally used in semi-manual format for long and flat items but has recently evolved into feed stock for [automated packaging machinery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pack-studio) that forms a box on demand. Since fan fold has great environmental benefits, we have made it standard stock product. As always at Kite, we are keen to help customers minimise their environmental footprint whilst providing cost-effective solutions delivered next day.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 21% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) > [Retail](https://www.trendhunter.com/retail) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Bespoke Packaging Solutions:** The Kite Packaging corrugated fan fold is a bespoke packaging solution intended to provide businesses with more control over the kinds of packaging they're able to create. - **Automated Box Making Machines:** The Kite Packaging corrugated fan fold will accommodate automated box making machines, allowing businesses to create bespoke packaging solutions. - **Environmental Benefits:** The fan fold packaging has great environmental benefits, making it a desirable choice for businesses looking to minimize their environmental footprint. ### Who This Affects Most - **Packaging:** The Kite Packaging corrugated fan fold offers a unique packaging solution for businesses. - **Manufacturing:** The automated box making machines provide opportunities for the manufacturing industry to streamline packaging processes. - **Sustainable Packaging:** The fan fold packaging with its environmental benefits aligns with the sustainable packaging industry's focus on reducing waste and environmental impact. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collapsible Plastic Shipping Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plastic-pallet-boxes.md) - [Ultra-Slim Delivery Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flap-it.md) - [High-Quality Pizza Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/printed-pizza-boxes.md) - [Optimized Eco Postal Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/large-letter-postal-boxes.md) - [Performance Machinery Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kite-packaging-1.md) - [Paper-Based Packaging Advancements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monoflex-fibre-plus.md) - [Corrugated Cheese Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boxway.md) - [Industrial Anti-Fatigue Floor Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antifatigue-mat-range.md) - [Paper-Based Recyclable Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recoflex.md)
