The unique pieces are like [jewels for the sink](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin). The metal **Lace Drains** are functional and dazzling, and transform boring drains into artistic statement pieces. The **[Drain Dirt-Catchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garbage-disposal1)** are [little filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faucet-filter) you put inside your sink to stop bits and pieces from going down the drain, eventually plugging it up. "Performing one of the dirtiest jobs in the house, these hair-catchers are also eye-catchers, adding perhaps a little pleasure to the user when facing the task of doing the dishes or cleaning the sink," the site says. They're the perfect addition for 'glamming' up basins in the bath or the kitchen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Artistic Sink Drains:** Opportunity for designers to create functional and visually appealing sink drains that transform ordinary sinks into artistic statement pieces. - **Functional Dirt-catchers:** Innovation potential for creating filters that not only prevent drain clogs but also add aesthetic value to sinks. - **Sink Glamorization:** Growing trend of beautifying sinks through decorative elements like metal lace drains, offering opportunities for designers to create unique sink accessories. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Home decor industry can capitalize on the demand for artistic and functional sink drains as part of their product offerings. - **Plumbing Supplies:** Opportunity for plumbing supply manufacturers to produce innovative dirt-catchers that combine functionality and visual appeal. - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can incorporate decorative sink drains into their designs, adding a touch of elegance and uniqueness to bathrooms and kitchens. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Kitchen Sink Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Reinventive Modern Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Wall-Mounted Hair Catchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hair-catcher1.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Tech-Equipped Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen-sink.md)
