# Aircraft-Inspired Kitchens The Kinzo Kitchen Takes a Cue From Aviation By Allison Love | Published 2010-06-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinzo-kitchen References: [bornrich.org](http://www.bornrich.org/entry/kinzo-brings-your-aviation-adventures-to-kitchen/) & [dailyicon.net](http://www.dailyicon.net/2010/06/jet-kitchen-by-kinzo/) This [Kinzo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinzo-architekten) kitchen takes its inspiration from the skies with its airplane-inspired [kitchen counters and cupboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/integrated-kitchen-appliance). With the illusion of more space, the Kinzo kitchen actually streamlines the surfaces and makes them smooth and resemble an airplane's interior. The [upper cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masterbrand-cabinets) in the Kinzo kitchen look like the overhead compartments on a plane (which also open the same way!). The Kinzo kitchen is very clean looking, and if airplane decor is your style of interior living, then this airplane-esque kitchen is ideal for you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Aviation-inspired Interiors:** As demand for unique and stylish home decor rises, there is an opportunity to create aviation-inspired products that cater to this niche market. - **Streamlined Kitchen Design:** The Kinzo Kitchen demonstrates an opportunity for utilizing clean and minimalistic design cues in kitchen appliances and countertops. - **Functional Design Aesthetics:** Applying functional design cues to aesthetically pleasing products has potential to enhance user experience and desirability of products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchen Design:** The Kinzo Kitchen demonstrates a potential for innovative kitchen design that is still not mainstream and there is a potential for market growth. - **Home Decor:** Consumers' desire to express their individuality in their homes presents an opportunity to create unique and creative home decor products that cater to this trend. - **Aerospace:** Translating practical design features from aerospace into consumer products is an opportunity for innovation and expanding into new markets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cabinet-Style Kitchen Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next125-pocket-system.md) - [Aluminum-Clad Kitchen Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vipp-v3-kitchen.md) - [Ai-Powered Recipe-Generating Appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kitchen-cosmo.md) - [AI-Powered Kitchen Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tkc-kitchens.md) - [Tech-Informed Modular Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rekook.md) - [Space-Conscious Kitchen Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-kitchen-design.md) - [Minimalist Modular Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sensient-cosmetic-technologies.md) - [3D Kitchen Design Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinsman.md) - [Elegant Kitchen Sink Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system.md)
