Wearstler speaks about the design project to Dezeen, noting "Animals respond to their environments just as we do, which is why when designing for them, I approach the process with the same intention as creating spaces for people." Once visitors enter, they are met by the reception area and custom terrazzo which goes up the walls. This hand-painted mural is full of delicate lines which create artful horses, dogs, and cats. Wearstler adds, "Muted tones establish an immediate sense of calm and welcome. It's that first impression that sets the tone for everything."
