# Vibrant Robot Murals These Street Art Pieces Focus on Different Kinds of Robots By Lacey-Jane Walsh | Published 2013-07-05 | Updated 2013-07-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinds-of-robots References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/robot-street-art-pixel-pancho) & [flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelpancho/with/8655122394/) Italian street artist Pixel Pancho's pieces focus on a variety of different kinds of robots. All of these fantastic murals feature robots behaving like humans in one way or another, which is captivating and a littler terrifying when you think about it. In one of these shots, a robot is racing to catch some waves with a surfboard under his metallic arm. In another shot, two adolescent looking robots are lying in front of a TV, mindlessly watching a show. Other shots portray robots along side humans, going on lovely walks together. Humanizing robots makes for interesting and thought-provoking artwork. Pancho's vibrant robot street murals are eye-catching and extremely interesting. It will be a scary day when robots can actually learn to surf. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Humanizing Robots:** Exploring the concept of robots behaving like humans, creating captivating and thought-provoking artwork. - **Robot-human Interaction:** Depicting robots and humans together, sparking discussions on the future of coexistence and companionship. - **Robots in Pop Culture:** Using robots as subjects in street art to reflect society's fascination and fears with advanced technology. ### Who This Affects Most - **Street Art:** Opportunity for street artists to incorporate robots into their work, adding a futuristic and thought-provoking element. - **Entertainment:** Exploring the potential of robot-human relationships and interactions in TV shows and movies. - **Technology:** Creating visual representations of robots in art to engage the public in discussions about AI, robotics, and the future of technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Robotic Portrait Sketches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pankraz-piktograph.md) - [Artistic AI Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sketcher-x.md) - [Laser-Cut Urban Artistry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-cut-city-maps.md) - [Drone-Assisted Landscape Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/katsu-1.md) - [Cartoonish City Bollards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-cyklop.md) - [Robotic Digital Surveillance Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accept-all.md)
