The interior is characterized by unique items such as blackboard walls, [round toilet cubicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noahs-ark-nursery) and furniture optimized for the size of the students. A planted courtyard, complete with play furniture and climbing walls, surrounds the indoor areas. Much like the blades of a windmill, the architects explain, the indoor rooms of the school fan out against the courtyard. Views of the garden are facilitated by [floor-to-ceiling windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cole-du-znith), which open out to sheltered terraces, protected by the building's overhanging roof. Other windows, recessed deep into the walls of the corridors, provide seating nooks for the children. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Gorgeous Garden Kindergartens:** Creating kindergarten schools with garden views and outdoor spaces optimized for learning opportunities. - **Unique Interior Design for Kindergarten Schools:** Incorporating unique items such as blackboard walls, round toilet cubicles and furniture optimized for the size of students in kindergarten school design. - **Floor-to-ceiling Windows in Kindergarten Schools:** Utilizing floor-to-ceiling windows in kindergarten school design to create views of surrounding outdoor environments and increase natural light. ### Who This Affects Most - **Education:** Offering innovative designs for kindergarten schools that increase learning and developmental opportunities for students. - **Architecture and Design:** Providing architecture and design firms with the opportunity to create unique and innovative kindergarten school designs. - **Landscaping and Outdoor Furniture:** Creating innovative playground furniture and outdoor landscaping designs to optimize outdoor spaces in kindergarten schools. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Town-Like Classroom Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kindergarten-of-museum.md) - [Playful Learning Villages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinder-rain.md) - [Japanese Outdoor Teaching Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-british-school.md) - [Vibrantly Designed Nursery Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multichildcare-crche.md) - [Nature-Promoting School Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/primary-school-1.md) - [Yellow-Accented School Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/school-interior.md) - [Nature-Bounding School Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cole-du-znith.md) - [Sustainable Colorful School designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonderland-elementary-school.md) - [Historically Based Nurseries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rgis-roudil.md)
