[New York Fashion Week](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-rose-sparrow) has kicked off and is making quite a splash, thanks to shows like the Kimberly Ovitz Spring 2012 collection. Ovitz presented her collection in a way that I haven't really seen before: color-coordinated.

What I mean by that is the designer first sent out a handful of all-white looks, followed by bold orange designs, then outfits wholly comprised of white and gold. Red came next, followed by a few striking black looks, and then some more white pieces to finish off the show.

The Kimberly Ovitz Spring 2012 show presentation reflected the [color-blocking theme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pantone-dualities) that has been such a sensation and dominated the runways in the past few seasons. Ovitz also created an incredible juxtaposition by pairing the [flowy, easy-to-wear designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stein) with a a stark, noticeable method of sending the models out.

The Kimberly Ovitz Spring 2012 show is definitely a memorable one and the presentation technique might just catch on.
