It is a modular system that provides planters that focus as much on form as it does on function. Comprised of four parts, the KiGA Kitchen Garden can be arranged as a table or aligned against a wall. The legs not only raise the planters higher for more convenient access, they also have an insert close to the ground to remove excess water. The perfect size for terraces, balconies and even backyards, the KiGA Kitchen Garden is the first product by Hurbz, a Belgium company recently found in 2012. It was recently presented at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Gardening Systems:** The KiGA Kitchen Garden demonstrates the growing trend of modular gardening systems, offering opportunities for businesses to create innovative and customizable products for urban gardening enthusiasts. - **Vertical Gardening:** The KiGA Kitchen Garden's ability to be aligned against a wall taps into the trend of vertical gardening, presenting opportunities for businesses to develop space-saving and stylish gardening solutions for urban dwellers. - **Sustainable Home Gardening:** The KiGA Kitchen Garden's focus on convenience and water management reflects the trend toward sustainable home gardening, opening up opportunities for businesses to create eco-friendly and efficient gardening products. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home and Garden:** The modular herb planter trend presents opportunities for the home and garden industry to develop innovative products for urban gardening enthusiasts. - **Furniture:** The KiGA Kitchen Garden's presentation at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair makes it evident that the furniture industry has a chance to tap into the growing trend of integrating functional gardening solutions into home decor. - **Sustainability:** The KiGA Kitchen Garden's water management and eco-friendly design align with the sustainability trend, encouraging businesses in the sustainability industry to explore opportunities in the home gardening market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Four-in-One Herb Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-herbs-indoor-herb-garden.md) - [Smart Indoor Hydroponics Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-modular-indoor-hydroponics-garden-grow-vegetables-and-herbs-automatic.md) - [Soil-Free Garden Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-system.md) - [Building Block Gardening Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-planterior.md) - [Modular Indoor Gardening Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gud-plant-box.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Portable Minimal Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-planter.md) - [Indoor Herb Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auk-mini.md) - [Minimalist Indoor Gardening Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-pot.md)
