The furniture unit features a wooden construction that sits on four wheels, and boasts ample space to hold books, backpacks, lunches and more. The movable design allows it to be easily shifted between locations in the space, while a built-in pencil box in the top section can be removed for placement on a desktop. The conceptual 'Placo' kids furniture design is the design work of Pedro Machado, Pedro Travassos and Mariana Nogueira, and would work well within the classroom or a child's bedroom. The side of the unit is accented by a whiteboard to encourage kids to work and be creative. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 15% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Moveable Student Storage:** Furniture designs that are moveable to provide students with ample space to keep essentials stowed within the classroom or at home. - **Multi-functional Classroom Furniture:** Furniture designs that are multi-functional and innovative in their design and purpose for school and its environments. - **Innovative Kid's Bedroom Furniture:** Combining innovative design with practicality to provide students with space-saving and functional workspace within their bedrooms. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturing furniture designs that are innovative and functional for students within classrooms and at home. - **Education:** Implementing innovative furniture designs within classrooms to enhance the overall learning experience for students. - **Interior Design:** Offering innovative furniture designs for kids' bedrooms that satisfy both form and function through the use of newer materials and creative designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Development Childhood Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-and-chair-set.md) - [Colorful School Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clever-school-desk1.md) - [Independence-Encouraging Toy Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toy-storage-box.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Eco-Friendly Ergonomic Child Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plogic-chair.md) - [Play-Friendly Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-nook-modular-furniture-system.md) - [Shape-Shifting Classroom Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eduba.md) - [Antitheft Storage Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afford-chair.md) - [Modular Play-Friendly Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-concept.md)
