EM2N, a Swiss firm, produces powerful architecture that some may hate or love. Its latest project is the firm's most distinct piece of work to date. The [faceted facade of the building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house) was inspired by [Czech Cubism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/czech-pavilion) and not only does it create an eye-catching exterior, the building also helps reduce carbon emissions. The firms claims that “The double-layered façade not only produces a sculptural outer skin, but also improves the performance of the windows in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation.” Upon looking at the Keystone Building, you can see a resemblance to [polygonal structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neville-park), but when you enter the interior of the building you will be greeted by reflective, polished walls that encapsulate the stairwells, creating am image-bending effect to get lost in. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Reflective Architecture:** Incorporating reflective materials and designs into buildings to create visually striking exteriors and interior effects. - **Czech Cubism Revival:** Drawing inspiration from Czech Cubism to infuse unique and artistic elements into modern architecture. - **Energy-efficient Facades:** Utilizing double-layered facades to improve thermal and acoustic insulation while reducing carbon emissions. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Integrating innovative designs influenced by art movements to create visually captivating and sustainable structures. - **Construction:** Implementing energy-efficient building practices that incorporate advanced facade technologies for improved environmental performance. - **Real Estate:** Embracing unique and visually appealing architectural styles to enhance property value and attract discerning buyers or tenants. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Artful Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oveneck-33.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Skyline-Inspired Elegant Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/obliqo.md) - [Curved Translucent Experimental Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptors-apartment.md) - [Trapezoidal Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ksa-studen.md) - [Stylishly Renovated Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylishly-renovated-apartment.md) - [Building-Nestled Compact Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-cafe.md) - [Paired-Back Modernist Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modernist-interior.md) - [Warped Stacked Residence Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quinta-do-rei.md)
