# Tactile Tablet Keyboards Writer by Adonit is the Ultimate Professional Add-On for the IPad By David Halpert | Published 2011-03-27 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keyboard-ipad-mobile-laptop-tech-gadget-tablet-writer-adonit References: [adonit.net](http://adonit.net/) & [kickstarter](http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/531383637/adonit-writer-ipad-case-keyboard?play=1&ref=users) While tablet technology might be the next great leap in how we interact with technology, some of us prefer the tactile feeling of pressing keys over tapping a screen. To that end, engineers Zack Zeliff and Kris Perpich of [Adonit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adonit-neo-pro) have created Writer, a folio and Bluetooth keyboard specifically designed for the [iPad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brydge-105-series-ii). While Writer might not look terribly impressive, rest assured this device was made for the mobile user in mind. In addition to its keyboard, the Writer also goes into sleep mode when not in use, conserving battery power. Its case, in addition to easy mobility, allows the keyboard to glide along a [magnetic strip](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clicks-power-keyboard) for adjustable screen angles and stability. Bottom line: if you own an iPad and are always on the go, be sure to check this keyboard out. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Tactile Tablet Keyboards:** As technology advances with tablets, there is an opportunity to create add-ons like Adonit's Writer for users who prefer a tactile feeling for typing. - **Mobile Device Accessories:** With mobile devices taking over, there is an opportunity for more companies to create trendy and functional accessories like Adonit's Writer. - **Bluetooth-enabled Peripherals:** As wireless technology evolves, there is an opportunity to create more Bluetooth-enabled peripherals like Adonit's Writer for improved convenience and efficiency. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Adonit's Writer keyboard targets the rapidly growing consumer electronics industry, specifically the iPad market. - **Mobile Accessories:** The mobile accessories industry can capitalize on creating innovative and functional products like Adonit's Writer to meet the demands of an increasingly mobile workforce. - **Office Supplies:** Companies in the office supply industry can leverage Adonit's Writer as a tool that can improve productivity and add value to their offerings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomic Tablet Keyboard Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brydge-105-series-ii.md) - [All-in-One Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skfp-combo-keyboard.md) - [Productive Laptop-Like Tablet Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-combo-touch.md) - [Productivity-Focused Tablet Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/type-folio-case.md) - [Sleek Tablet Productivity Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mokibo-fusion-keyboard-2.md) - [Writer-Focused Keyboard Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freewrite-wordrunner.md) - [Backlit Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/typecase-edge-pro.md) - [Improved Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-keyboard-for-ipad.md) - [Timeless Typewriter Keyboard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeless-typewriter-keyboard-design.md)
