# Domino-Like Furniture The KERAMOS Cabinet by Coprodotto is Colorfully Cute By Meghan Young | Published 2012-04-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keramos-cabinet References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2012/04/20/keramos-by-coprodotto/) & [coprodotto.it](http://www.coprodotto.it/) Each piece in the KERAMOS Cabinet collection looks like a colorful version of a domino tile. The rectangular shapes boast rounded edges, a divided midsection and dots, which are characteristic of the tiles that make up the game's deck. Unlike dominos, the KERAMOS Cabinet has a lot more depth in order to accommodate household items. Created [Adriano Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effetto-71-ping-pong-table) in collaboration with La Castellamonte (Coprodotto), the KERAMOS Cabinet collection is made out of [glazed ceramic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-chess) and wood. Available in various colors including red, grey and yellow as well as two shapes (vertical rectangle and horizontal rectangle), the KERAMOS Cabinet is a [modular storage unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/original-modern-shelving) that has a lot of cute character. Only 99 units have been produced, each signed by the designers and producers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Domino-inspired Furniture:** The trend of incorporating domino-like designs into furniture is growing, with opportunities for further customization and modular components. - **Ceramic and Wood Combination:** Combining ceramic and wood in furniture design provides for unique and elegant pieces that can be both functional and decorative. - **Limited Edition Furniture:** The production of limited edition furniture collections provides a sense of exclusivity and collectability for consumers. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Incorporating playful and unique designs into furniture can differentiate offerings and attract a wider range of consumers. - **Home Decor:** Combining unexpected materials in home decor pieces can offer a fresh and unique perspective, giving consumers options that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. - **Artisanal Ceramics:** The trend of ceramics in furniture and home decor provides opportunities for artisanal ceramics makers to collaborate and showcase their unique skills and talents. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets.md) - [Colorful Smart Storage Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linea-storage.md) - [Luxe Grooved Versatile Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cesar.md) - [Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet.md) - [Modular Configured Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet.md) - [Tile-Clad Colorful Blocky Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reglow.md) - [Dynamic Vibrancy Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porro-linea.md) - [Domino-Inspired Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domino-pendant.md) - [Sculptural Living Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica.md)
