# Inside Out Teddy Bears Kent Rogowski's Bears By Cowbag | Published 2008-08-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kent-rogowskis-bears-book-of-inside-out-teddy-bears References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/category/game-toys/page/4/) & [bearsthebook](http://www.bearsthebook.com/images.html) These inside out teddy bears are cute, and slightly scary. The teddy bears come from a book from Kent Rogowski simply entitled “Bears”. The book features photographs of [stuffed bears](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repair-bear) that have been turned inside out. For such a simple concept the results are brilliant. It really makes me want to try it but I fear my attempts would look rubbish and I don't want to kill a teddy bear. Here are two of the best comments from his website: "If I were a stuffed bear that got turned inside out, I would want my ears too. What are we to make of this pack (?) of bears living in a seamless silence? Each member of this strange mute toyscape is odd and mysterious and seems terribly vulnerable." - WM Hunt, Art dealer, ageless "You're a monster. Maybe you should be turned out..." - Anonymous ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Inside-out Toys:** Developing toys which might be turned inside-out and feature variable features can provide a unique, interactive, and creative experience to the users. - **Redefining Cuties:** Finding ways to turn traditional toys such as teddy bears into something that is cute yet eerie can provide a new dimension to the user's experience with stuffed animals. - **Artistic Manipulation of Traditional Forms:** Using artistic techniques to manipulate traditional toy forms can offer a different perspective and appreciation for art, design, and aesthetics. ### Where This Applies - **Toy Manufacturing:** Toymakers can benefit from developing inside-out toys that offer a new level of creativity and interaction to their customers. - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can use Kent Rogowski's concept to manipulate and create strange yet beautiful forms that can bring diversity and innovation in art. - **Psychology of Toys:** Researchers can examine the emotional responses and feelings of individuals playing with inside-out stuffed animals, which can provide insights about the human psyche and attachment to toys. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Poem-Sharing Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mood-bears.md) - [AI-Powered Teddy Bear Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tedi.md) - [Large Animal Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polar-bear-oversized-plush-cuddle-animal-body-pillow.md) - [Expressive Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mood-bears-sainsburys.md) - [Plushie-Inspired Art Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brent-estabrook-smiles.md) - [Interactive Holiday Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bearlieve-bear.md) - [Man-Sized Cuddly Teddy Bears](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loving-bear-puffy.md) - [Bear-shaped Bluetooth Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bearbrick-collectible-toy.md) - [AI-Powered Plush Teddies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-teddy-kumma.md)
