# Americana-Inspired Living Spaces The Kempart Loft is Inspired by the Airstream Trailer By Michael Hines | Published 2013-05-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kempart-loft References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/aluminum-pod-loft-conversion/27629/) & [dethier.be](http://www.dethier.be/) Those familiar with classic Americana will no doubt recognize the inspiration behind the Kempart loft. (It's the [Airstream](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usonian-limited) trailer, for those who aren't a fan of classic Americana). The loft was built in the city of Liege, Belgium, by the firm Dethier Architectures. The pod itself is essentially a functional partition. It contains two bathrooms, heating and ventilation equipment and can be used for storage. The partition in the Kempart Loft separates the bedroom from the living room, with the side facing the living room coming complete with a built-in flatscreen TV. Whereas the interior of [the loft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gowanus-loft) is colored in varying hues of gray, the inside of the partition is wonderfully colorful, with artist Jean Glibert decorating the bathrooms in bright green and orange. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Americana-inspired Living Spaces:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and create living spaces inspired by classic Americana, incorporating unique features and colors. - **Functional Partitions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative partition designs that serve multiple purposes, such as housing bathrooms, storage, and equipment. - **Colorful Bathroom Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of vibrant colors and artistic elements in bathroom design, creating visually stunning and engaging spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with architects and designers to create unique and visually appealing Americana-inspired living spaces. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Manufacture and sell functional partitions that can be customized to fit different living spaces and serve various purposes. - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Partner with artists and designers to create unique and colorful bathroom designs that transform the space into a work of art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Renovated Compact Loft Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vessel-project.md) - [NYC Apartment Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklyn-loft.md) - [Remodelled Denim-Detailed Modern Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microloft.md) - [Dual-Loft Compact Portable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avanti-se.md) - [Architect-Inspired Travel Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usonian-limited.md) - [Textile-Transformed Parisian Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isabelle-heilmann.md) - [LA-Based Campervan Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camper-van-rentals.md) - [Book-Filled Mezzanine Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumbo-loft.md) - [Architectural Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skyview-camper.md)
