Designed to sit between the keg and the tap, this device uses an internal flowmeter to measure how much liquid has been poured out of the keg, and a [wireless processor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ekos-and-gotab) to send that information to the companion app. Installation for the Kegtron device is quite simple and only requires some additional tubing to feed the keg into the monitor. The companion app for the Kegtron device is the primary contact between the user and the device and will be able to wirelessly track the amount of pours left in a keg. The app will also be able to display information on the beer, such as the name, its description, the keg size and the starting volume of the keg. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wireless Keg Monitoring:** Companies can create innovative kegerators and beer dispensers that utilize wireless keg monitoring technology for tracking inventory and improving customer service. - **Internet of Things (iot) Connected Devices:** IoT technology can be integrated into various industries to create smart devices that wirelessly connect to mobile applications for real-time monitoring and improved efficiency, with the Kegtron device as an example. - **Smart Home Appliances:** Smart kitchens and appliances can integrate smart home technology to automate tasks such as monitoring and dispensing beer from kegerators, offering convenient and efficient solutions for homeowners. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Food and Beverage:** Restaurants, bars, and breweries can integrate wireless keg-monitoring technology to track inventory, reduce waste, and improve customer service by offering real-time information on available beer selections. - **Smart Home Technology:** Companies in the smart home technology sector can create appliances with integrated IoT technology, such as smart refrigerators and beer dispensers that are capable of tracking and managing inventory in real-time. - **Consumer Electronics:** Manufacturers of consumer electronics can develop wireless keg-monitoring systems, such as the Kegtron device, that integrate with mobile applications to provide end-users with the ability to monitor inventory levels, quality, and other metrics in real-time. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Draft Beer Kegerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kombi-cool-tap.md) - [At-Home Beer Keg Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/athome-beer-keg-machine.md) - [Smart Beer Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-beer-maker.md) - [Branded Countertop Beer Taps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guinness-microdraught.md) - [Brewery-Focused Keg Management Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keg-management.md) - [AI-Powered Beverage Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pubinno-1.md) - [Automated Beer-Brewing Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-brewing-machine.md) - [Ultrasonic At-Home Beer Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guinness-microdraught-20.md) - [Perfect Pint Pouring Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asahi.md)
