The interior of this incredible home was designed for an owner who wanted a spot for his [extensive book collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-tiny-house). Therefore, Morita decided to convert just about every wall of the abode into a shelf. The house provides maximum storage space without sacrificing the openness of the room. This Kazuya Morita home executes the owner's concept brilliantly, featuring a [gridded pattern](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv) that looks intricate and unique, especially with its wooden rustic look. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Maximized Storage Space:** Designing living spaces that prioritize storage capacity to make smaller living spaces more functional through innovative methods. - **Multifunctional Furniture:** Creating furniture pieces that can be used in various ways to save space and maximize functionality in small living spaces. - **Rustic Interior Design:** Utilizing rustic aesthetic features to create visually intriguing living spaces that maximize functionality. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Creating innovative interior designs that incorporate customizable storage solutions for clients with smaller living spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Designing and manufacturing multifunctional furniture pieces to meet the growing demand for furniture in smaller living spaces. - **Home Construction:** Incorporating customizable storage solutions into small-scale home construction to provide maximum functionality for residents and homeowners. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [CD-Centric Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apartment-nube.md) - [Sculptural Bookshelves Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-bookshelf.md) - [Box-Like Innovative Apartment Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-apartment-design.md) - [Architectural Library Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reading-nooks.md) - [Japan-Inspired Tiny Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mizuho.md) - [Expandable Bookcase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burrow-index-bookcase.md) - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Room-Dividing Bookshelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frquence-shelf.md) - [Compact Corner Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modus-architect.md)
